Of course, i like it soo muchThank you so much! I saw you subscribed! I hope you have fun watching the Wario Land 4 stream!
How did you add the sound effects in the Soft Shell one?
I never heard them in the original, or anywhere else in the game. (Well, except for some)
The objective is to turn them as close as possible to the original soundtrack, but refreshed with new instruments!
What an endeavor you made! But it's not over yet. I indeed have some constructive criticism for you. Well, just one.
That bass. You know, the very distinct sounding electric bass both used in Wario Land 4 and Wario Ware Inc. It's like the mold that holds so many songs together! Like my favorite, and everyone else's, Crescent Moon Village. It's the first instrument you hear when you enter that stage.
Um what's my point... Oh yeah! The bass you use in that song and many others simply does not have that distinct sound. If I suggest, to match that distinct bass you may need to go back and alter or distort the sound. Hey can you apply vibrato or tremolo to the bass? Maybe that will work? I'm not entirely sure what software you are using but it must have some filters for the sounds.
Listen to this:
You can hear it very clear in the song above.
Hope I don't sound rude. It's just I love Wario Land 4's soundtrack so much. And half of the reason is just how distinct everything sounds in that game. I want to hear an HD version that perfectly captures that funky-yet-strange noise that is WL4.
Perhaps. That was the initial goal. However, I'm speaking of an impression I got when he spoke of how to approach Curious Factory and deciding to improvise. Maybe inbetween redoing and doing his own take.
