This is partly done with the WL2 editor found here: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1098/Which editor is that?
The one thing i don't like about the wario land 3 sprite is, why are his clothes white?
I guess it's due to limitations on the GameBoy, however he got his Yellow shirt on the GameBoy advance because the system was stronger.
Well, does a hack need to have the limitations of the hardware, also, even the wario land 4 is the definitive game boy wario, it kind of is a mess.
Yes, roms hacks have to work with hardware limitations too, as they run with the same code. The only way around that is to re-program the game to support more memory and, thus, more colors.
As for Wario Land 4, it is 32 bits, quite a lot more colors, but it looks a mess because we're used to see the pixelated amplified version of it, if you play on an actual Game Boy Advance, Wario looks much better.
Still not enough colors to give him green shoes but that never bothered me.As for Wario Land 4, it is 32 bits, quite a lot more colors,
Nice work. ^^ I might play this all the way through and check if I can see any other stay pixels that could be fixed.Hello! I've been working on and off on this little hack. As some of you may already know, I've contacted the developer of the Wario Land 2 editor to ask him if he could make it possible to edit wario's sprite in the credits. This has now been added to the editor, which enabled me to completely finish what I had in mind with this hack.
The new version can now be downloaded here: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2990/
Hope you guys enjoy this!

Btw, Weario, I'm still up for working on that fangame, if you're up for it. Just had another idea for a new enemy.
I'm guessing you can't fix Captain Syrup's weird sprite issues?(that I could fix with the editor)
The fangame is still on hold, I'm afraid. I haven't got the motivation to continue working on it. Plus, after next week I might dissapear into thewarpedvoid again due to school.
I absolutely love you're ideas on the enemy, as always.
I've only played one level so far but the only other oddities I could find are ones that have persevered until Wario Land 3.
Like leftover shading here and there.
It's pretty noticable on Wario's suspenders:

I don't think that was left there on purpose.
