Would you want any other Wario spinoffs?

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
As in, games not associated with the Wario Land or WarioWare series?

Because in the olden days, we got a fair few titles that were completely detached from the rest of the series. These included Wario's Woods, Mario & Wario, Wario Blast and (possibly) Wario Master of Disguise.

So would you want something similar now? A new Wario game that doesn't specifically tie to the Wario Land or WarioWare franchises, and merely has him star in a one off scenario?

Here are my ideas.

Wario Woods 2

I just want a new Wario Woods, like the old one but with online and streepass functionality.

i don't know if this counts but

Dance Dance Revolution Mario Jimmy T. Mix

Do i need to explain?

Wario Picross

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario's_Picross Remember this gem? Well mario's hat reminded me of Wario's standard form in WLSML3. So armed with that hat and his trusty pickaxe Wario goes mining for treasure. You beat a level and are rewarded with cutscenes featuring Wario going through his antics mining, getting hurt, and getting gems and such. You will have standard picross puzzles and others will have the answers be references to the Wario games Land or Ware. Also a new mode with super easy picross puzzles you solve back to back, they are already done except for a few spots but its so obvious, you'll have a few seconds then move to the next, its picross in the vain of ware (main game is standard picross though). You can even create your own puzzles, it'll have all the other features of picross DS.

Personally wouldn't mind if we do get another puzzle related Wario just like Wario's Woods. Nintendo could even just make something similar to Wario's Woods online much like Dr.Mario online RX. Another beat em up could really be nice too, having more variety helps especially since during the mid 2000's we have had some form of Wario spin off.

Wario Casino Games

Wario finally decides the best way to cheat people out of money is to open a casino. In this game you play as your Mii and try to win it big in various classic casino games and new Wario-ized games. Can you beat Wario at his own game?

Seems cool, but that would probably have to be PEGI 12, unfortunately.
Also, there'd need to be some sort of skill involved, whereas most real casino games are luck only.

Well, Wario already featured in Mario's Super Picross for SNES. He hosted the entire second half of the game (Hard Mode). Unfortunately, picross never caught on very well in the west, so I doubt Nintendo would bother with another today. It's too bad, as Wario seemed to really love the activity.

I really like the old Japanese commercial, especially the drummer, screaming and cracking his neck at the end (Wario also has a bigger hammer and chisel than Mario...)

Funny you say that, because we do have that to a degree:

Though obviously a full on Wario Picross would be tha shit and words cannot describe how much I'd love a Wario's Woods 2 or even just an Eshop remaster with both the NES and SNES content and online play.

I mean I'm not saying these aren't fun but do you guys really want a Wario game based on this? Would you buy it and genuinely enjoy it?

Should've been more specific (again!!). With bringing up Mario's Picross/Super Picross, I was asking if you guys would want that full fledged scale of a game again.

Even that I could consider a bit of a hard sell. I mean you have something like Paper Airplane Race that was DSiware and I find it hard to argue that it's not overpriced and I don't see Picross being that much more appealing. I could at most see it as a side minigame of another game.

Fair enough. I just have a bit of a bad habit in that I unconsciously just dismiss anything that would not be realistic. Even if we were speaking purely hypothetically.
