I was hoping this was just fatigue from Dream Team, but after trudging through some more... Paper Jam really does stink a lot. There's such a cynical edge to the little writing that isn't made funny at all by how stock and standardized everything feels. I'm probably going to end up ditching my playthrough, because when a game makes me question if a series was even good to begin with, that's usually when my bed is made.

Valid, I still haven't played Paper Jam.

It kinda came out at an odd time and then people were saying it was pretty mid, so I didn't really care.

Paper Jam's a weird game, since mechanically it's probably the height of the series, but aesthetically and character wise it's basically devoid of all charm. Everyone seems even more like an asshole than usual for a Mario RPG, which is kinda impressive.

The run up to the final boss felt very sudden, like as if there was plenty of the game left before reaching the end. On the contrary, the final boss was really good.
Other than the Koopalings, there wasn't that much to write home about Paper Jam.
Dream Team is definitely better, but also difficult to replay due to the vast amounts of dialogue.

I think I'm gonna stop letting you guys know about my Mario related dreams bcz I've been having one each freaking night no joke! Like this time I dreamt there was Super Paper Mario remake that came out on Switch 2 that changed the character design of the main antagonists, had a black box art with white line art, and post game story in the Underwhere. There was also several bad games based on the Super Mario Movie, a new Mario Party game among other things I can't remember. It felt like all those fan boxarts they make by putting PNGs in a boxart template came to life.

In my dream world, a new Wario Land game is probably gonna be released soon tbh.

There are some gross gags in Sponge-Bob gags post-season 3 that might've also influenced your dreams like the scene where the sofa landed on Squidward's toe.

Maybe. The odd thing is I never watch much SpongeBob so I don't know if it was that. Maybe the suicide Squidward creepypasta influenced my dream too now that I think about it.

Forgot to give a Care update during the last month, during the 4th of July, I got hurt because me and my siblings had a roman candle battle. Shit burnt right through my pant leg and gave me a pretty bad burn, but it's pretty much healed by now.

Moral of the story? Run faster when your opponent has you in their sights lmao

Yeah, it was funny at the time, but I would not recommend doing it. I'm a fucking idiot, so it comes naturally for me to do extremely stupid shit on the occasion.
