  • Hey, I want you to know I really like that WL 3 cover you posted just the other day. I like your piano covers and I think they're all pretty solid. Would you mind a little request: Castle Lololo from Kirby's Dream Land. I have always liked this song, and recently I have been quite into Kirby music, but I'm a bit disappointed that there are hardly any good piano covers of it.

You don't have to do this, as I can imagine that the song can be a tad fast and tricky, but listening to your other covers, I think it won't be so hard for someone like you.

It's a nice theme! I think it's in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, as it seems very familiar but I haven't got any other Kirby games (although actually, I did play Kirby's Adventure on virtual console, so it could be in that as well).
But I'm sorry: there are so many themes I'd like to arrange that I don't do requests, unless part of the Club Points system on my channel. You earned 7 by answering the question and had 6 already, but this theme would probably fall into the category 'hard short theme', or _maybe_ 'intermediate short theme', but even the latter is priced at 120 CP, which only one person has achieved so far - although hey! If you provide the sheet music, the price gets halved (as most of the effort (but not necessarily time) goes into arranging), and there is sheet music for Castle Lololo on ninsheetmusic.org, so it would only cost 60 or 85 CP, depending on what difficulty it ends up being when I try a bit of it. That's a lot more achievable, but at the moment I don't upload many YouTube videos, and some other people have answered the questions for most of my old videos. ;)

I have learnt an arrangement of Green Greens a while ago, though, but it's not perfect and there are other people who have done it. But if you'd like it I could at least try start practising it again, it is fun to play, although very tricky. ;)

I respect your work, so if you have too many themes you want to cover already, I will listen to these instead. But if you want to do Green Greens, then go ahead, it's a nice theme indeed :)

Haha, I guess so. :P Fortunately this picture was taken years ago, though, and it was actually pretty cold then.

Yes! When I saw that bit in hatlovinggamer's video, I wanted to make an animated gif out of it really badly... it took me about 1.5 hours in total, I think, as I had some difficulties... but it was worth it! :D As long as I can use it somewhere, that is. It works here, but I hope I post rarely enough that it won't annoy people. :P

I just learnt to play Peace Restored from Wario Land 3 on piano, from start to finish, and then redid it, but without transposition! :D Now it sounds as it should! (except that on the Game Boy you can play multiple of the same note at one time, which sometimes happens in this tune, and on piano, pressing a key with two fingers of course doesn't make it sound any different. But our hearing makes it work!)
Yesterday evening, I watched This Will Destroy You: A Line Rider Feature Film. It's really amazing, and it's free to watch on YouTube! :)
Animation vs. YouTube is out. I can definitely recommend it. ;) https://youtu.be/lhikdD6Hf2M Even if you haven't seen Alan Becker's previous videos, this should be a lot of fun! (especially if you do know YouTube, which I'm expecting you do)
    You should play Shadowgate 64

Ooh, Shadowgate 64... I have an odd relationship with that game. As a child, I played the living fire out of the NES title, which remains my favorite "point n' click" game, if only for the memories and nostalgia it holds in my heart.
Then, one day, along comes Shadowgate 64 (I don't actually recall how I acquired the game at the time, but I'm certain it wasn't through retail). I have fairly vivid memories of the opening cutscene and being confused as to what I was supposed to do once in control of my character. Something about the world in 64 felt much more confined and "limited" by comparison to the NES installment, though that may be my bias talking...
I recall reaching some dank, dreary old tunnel full of water, and some ghost/spirit/floating-translucent-character that made this high-pitched giggling sound, and, er... Well, that must be around the time when I turned the thing off and never touched it again. Heh. Clearly it didn't do anything for me back then. Perhaps I should give it another go someday.

It seems dark, but at the same time it is rated Everyone... Really though, there are quite enough games on my wishlist already. :P
Have any of you been watching SGDQ? :D

    Aw...
I've really been enjoying it so far! I made my donation during the Plok run, and the donation message was received very well by the runner! :) (who I hadn't ever seen before)

I've been watching it here and there, I don't think I've stayed for an entire run.

I've watched around 6 entire runs, I'd estimate, but it might be more.
My donation was read during the Plok run. :)
I hardly ever post status(es) here... oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
