Do not do irresponsible things. Irresponsible things tend to have negative effects. In the case of finances, those effects usually entail being unable to comfortably afford basic living expenses and/or other luxury items. This is probably not a suitable tradeoff for the ability to play Samurai Shodown or what have you.
