I'm just saying I think it's too optimistic to think that this game will really have an impact on a large majority of people. Pokemon Go is an extrinsic thing and those kinds of motivations are limited and with those sorts of things, a step in the right direction may very well just be nothing more than that and people may very easily revert to the way they were previously.
I agree with this.

I honestly haven't seen where the game is getting hate just based on people walking around or ideas around it. I and others I've talked to only complain about hearing about it all the time or just upset that people aren't being careful or paying attention.

I've seen the argument that it's helping people with social anxiety get out and have fun as another benefit besides the walking. That's great but as Magma said I have a doubt this will continue to help in the long run. If you don't address the underlying issues of what causes the problems with it (depression, disorders, personality quirks, etc) it'll never be more than one step forward. If it does, then that's great! I hope it can help people if that's what they need.

I think being narrow minded on either side, regardless if you like/dislike PG is a bad thing. It's good to acknowledge both the good and bad. You need to weigh the benefits of both the good and bad as well. PG is helping people exercise? How do we keep that going? PG is helping people with social anxiety? Wonderful! How can we continue to help remove this barrier?

the dedicated handheld market has contracted massively since the popularization of smartphone gaming and it won't be getting any better.
I know that, I probably should've mentioned the targeted audience nowadays. The dedicated handheld used to have a larger audience but now it's shifted.

Edit: and also I was talking about the games you'd find on dedicated handhelds vs. phones and what kinds of games end up popular on either.

I think it's natural to be wary and nervous of inviting people over for something like that. I'd say though unless they're already an unhappy, miserable person they won't have problems.

Well there hasn't been anything about Wario lately. If Nintendo were to announce something about Wario, then it'll have all of us talking about it. But I guess we can always find something small to have a conversation about.

The Mush badge is so OP, like you wouldn't believe. I used one bro attack (Chopper Bros.) and the final boss is down. I have 99 mushrooms and 99 Super mushrooms. Nobody can beat the Mario bros with the Mush badge!

(Talking about M&L SS)

Yeah, definitely! And of course, always use Rough Battle (Great Force) too. That makes the bosses go down so quick!
