Had not played Castlevania 1 since childhood and i remember not getting past those crushing spikes in level 2. Decided to play it "for the first time" last night. I was like "pfft, this is NES hard?" But then Frankenstein and the hunchback gave me trouble. rn im on stage 5 and Death is hefty challenge so im starting to realize what the hubbub is about.
I envision a future in which handheld gaming is obsolete due to on the go AAA games and mobile games as well as a future in which Nintendo tries to rekindle the magic of handheld gaming. If the former turns out to be true, at least the 3DS was a good send off.
