    Yeah there are definitely terrible forums as well. It's just that good forums exist, while good social media sites generally just kinda don't.

    I installed Instagram like a year ago just because my classmates made the group on there so I didn't really have a choice but it's really awful. The only big social media platform I tolerate is YouTube and even then, that's with disabling recommendations.

    If a flower doesn't grow then it's not the seed you should change but the environment you planted it in.

    If you don't feel appreciated where you are than it's not your fault. I know I'm a lot younger than you are and what I say may sound empty but you will eventually find someone who will treat well. Just don't give up, treat people the way you'd like them to treat you and stay away from toxic people.

    Sorry, I just feel like the same thing always keeps happening, and it makes me suspect I'm probably the issue. It's why I'm hesitant to try and become friends with new people, because I know something will go wrong later on.

    I feel you, it's really depressing when your situation doesn't evolve for a long time. But trust me, you are not alone in this and a lot of people are the same situation as you are, meaning you'll one day meet people who will understand your struggles. Just take care of yourself and don't beat yourself over past mistakes you cannot fix.

    Gonna be honest, a lot of video game remix/cover channels on YouTube feel very suspicious nowadays. I know my longtime favourites don't use AI, but there are a fair few new ones that seem to have a new cover or three every day, which feels far too quick to be legitimate.

    Personally I'm suspicious about Discetto, A_A_RonHD and EyemDJ, all of whom seem to post WAY too many video game remixes in WAY too short a timeframe in my opinion. They sound like they'd have taken a decent amount of time to create, but they're pumping them out left and right.

    Look up "giorno persona 5 @kradomusic" on yt and go to the top results. After watch the entire channels videos. They upload every day and it feels off when you do more research (I can't post links on this device)

    Have to be honest, I've always been confused how well most people seem to know the life stories of the folks they grew up with.

    Like, I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what happened to anyone at my school, college, university, previous workplaces, etc.

    Gonna be honest, if Nintendo and Illumination make a Donkey Kong movie, they should just remake/repurpose the Return to Krocodile Isle animation as the reveal trailer.

    We all know K Rool and the Kremlings will be the villain after Bananza, and that video sells them to people perfectly.

    If nothing else I would at least like to see Benedict Campbell reprise his K. Rool, he absolutely owns the voice for that character to me, and it's much more interesting than something deep and gruff like the grumbles he gets in Bananza.

    Im a newbie here but I genuinely love this place despite it only being semi active! this is like only place where I can yap about my life long hyper specific interest in wario without getting looked funny at. If I wasn't such a scardey pants back then over ANY social interactions I might couldve joined here during times where this place was more active but, this is already more than I could've asked for!

    I'm not sure what to do. Feels like my life has fallen apart near completely, and I don't see any good future ahead here. The only things that keep me going are my main projects and the need to finish them both.

    You're not alone and I hope you get the help you need man. Life can be pretty shitty sometimes but quiting it isn't the answer.

    Maybe in 2026 a new Wario Land game gets announced. You don't wanna miss that.

    I hope you're right about a new Wario Land game, though I've been optimistic about it for the last 2 decades without much to show for that.

    And all I do is annoy people or scare them away, so it's probably better for the rest of society if I go away for good.

    The fact that you think you are a burden to people already shows you're a good enough person to care about others.

    Perhaps you should try to see a therapist/psychologist if you haven't already. It might be hard to decide that but if you've been thinking that there is no better future for a while now, I think it's worth a shot. A lot people feel ashamed in seeking help when they need it.

    it's all controversy this, politics that, a bit of bitching and moaning here and there nowadays, i wish there was more i felt like doing here myself, but aside from the october thing next month, that damn fanfic and checking for notifications, for some reason i basically lost all motivation here, and i wish i was more inclined to chat, but almost everyone seems to be caught up in life

    The only issue I've noticing in the site was that you couldn't use emojis or embed directly into status updates, you had to copy-paste them.

    Honestly, the older I get, the more I feel the internet isn't for people like me anymore. I just don't find the conversations on most sites interesting, I find most modern forms of media kinda lacking (especially livestreams) and everyone else just feels culturally alien by comparison.

    when we were on "sticking out your gyatt for the rizzler" humor from 2023 i was still reeling from goofy ahh quandale dingle "average kid in ohio" devious lick humor from 2021
