Are all of the Ashley appearences leading up to something?

I don't think it's weird. Peach feels like the perfect valentines day character, so it isn't odd she'd be in a valentines day set. It's also just a edited image of an existing image, so it's nothing to get super suspicious about.

You started to argue once you said "unless she's also going to get this weird push." which was hugely unnecessary since she's already pushed to the max. If you know Mario, you'll know peach. What next, Luigi badge shows up along side saint Patrick day Ashley and you'll be thinking "Luigi may be getting a push."

Luigi is almost as well known as Mario, these main high-known Mario characters don't need extra push, because it's Mario! Who in the world wouldn't know these characters?

I'm taking this far because when you said that you're making me think Ashley ain't so special and making me depressed.

I need to ask, do you really think Ashley can reach the same kind of popularity as a character like Peach? Because what I'm saying is that characters I'm mentioning have a certain kind of appeal that is more niche that Nintendo is exploiting.

BigMagma, you owe the guy a BIG fuckin apology. How dare you, god damn it. Going around, shit talking his favourite character in a forum dedicated to her? There are ways and ways of saying shit, and indirectly saying something he might possibly perceive as being midldy offending aint the correct one. Rude.

I never said she'd reach the same popularity as peach, only Frisk could do that, silly. I'm just saying. You wonder if a very very well known character is getting an extra push strikes me as odd though.

Why would you even think this? what made you think this? This convo needs to end right now before you take it too far.

Rosalina has, for a lack of a better term, a "waifu" appeal and I was wondering if Nintendo would try to do the same for Peach.

....are you two done? It's a frickin' badge crane game. They put whatever they think will be appealing in there. It's probably just one random guy who decides which badges should be put up each week.

And as expected, look who else joins her:

Yep, they definitely have this thing going on together. And are consistently following this holiday agenda.

...It leaves me wondering if any of the Badge Arcade staff pitched into Super Mario Maker a bit.

I hate you, NoA. There was a Halloween Ashley set that we never got, a Christmas Ashley, AND a New Year's Ashley, and now THESE?

Would me e-mailing NoA asking about these do anything?

It's a shame, really. I'm not even buying anything on the Eshop just so I can save my money, just in case if at least one comes out. I'd also get Luigi badges just because I like Weegie.

Maybe we'll get Ashley badges someday, just not today or anytime soon (hopefully I'm wrong.) Guess waiting is the only thing to do, even though waiting Sa-ucks! l

Nintendo unusually Japanese nowadays.
You mean like how they often try to refrain from being culturally-Japanese in most of their main franchises? (Aside from Splatoon, at least)

I wonder if anyone in Japan finds it weird how the English voices in the Mario series (and regular voices in WarioWare) are retained there...

That a bit, but also just how formulaic(more so than usual) and fanservice-y they've gotten lately.
