Mario Kart 8 SUCKS (and wii is awesome!)

Hey, at least it created cheese land with its amazing music which created Cheese Land WiiU with its EVEN MORE AMAZING music. And Ribbon Road which got really awesome in MK8. And Sunset Wilds which I hope will get remade in the next MK. And Sky Garden with its awesome theme.

Mario Kart Super Circuit created a lot of tracks that became good in later titles.

It also created Shy Guy Beach... which didn't.

Hey, I prefer those loose controls to the ridiculously loose ones in Super Circuit. There it feels you're driving on ice most of the time.
Is that supposed to make me more grateful? Even if those controls are worse that doesn't mean Double Dash's aren't bad either.

You mean that awful cheese level is a retro stage? I'd never would have guessed, lol. I thought it was just some out of place map with no real meaning to it.

Something to do with Mario or another game, all I saw on the track were Chain chomps. It just seemed so out of place, I never heard of a Cheese land before, in terms of Mario or anything Nintendo.

This makes me so ashamed to be a Super Circuit fan. XD
Okay, I'm not gonna pretend it's a masterpiece or what not and it definitely has it's fair share of issues, but I always found enjoyment out of Super Circuit personally.

Ashamed? Phooey! Super Circuit is one of my three favourite Mario Kart games. It was an amazing handheld racer for its time because you could unlock every track from Super Mario Kart after beating the main game! It even had all the original music, giving the game a huge soundtrack. I felt so spoiled - that game was a total package!

I'm glad that not every Mario Kart track has to be a generic "Mario's Circuit" or "Bowser's Back Yard" or "Peach's Cotton Plantation" or whatever.
It's much more fun to see more "out there" track ideas. That's why I love Cheese Land and why I'm so disappointed that they took out the space theme. That was infinitely more memorable. I mean come on! It's a moon made of cheese with mice running around on it! How is that not perfect!?
Mario games are supposed to be about imaginative worlds and scenarios.
That's why I also love MK8's Ribbon Road. You are tiny and drive around a toy track. Why? WHO CARES? Because it's fun! Because it's awesome! Because it's memorable!
Compare that to for example... I dunno, Ice Ice Outpost which just takes place in a generic polar region. There's nothing to it except those 2 tracks that you drive on. You don't even drive on the ice much. No polar bears, no cool icicle caves or anything... Just a few boring icy cliffs on the sides and some ice overhead.
...and Toads. D8<
I mean come on, give us SOMETHING to make it interesting!
Wild Woods and Dragon Driftway were much more appealing.

(Don't get me started on SNES Rainbow Road tho...)

"Cool Cool Mountain", "Moo Moo Farm", "Mount Lava Lava".... and now, "Ice Ice Outpost"? That's the most awkward one yet. What's the appeal with that recurring name style, Nintendo?

Actually, "Rock Rock Mountain" sounds worse. Sorry. I know I'm being petty, but those names make the creative writer in me squirm. Put a bit of elbow grease into it, game writers! Sheesh...
