So, I heard that the new Star Trek series, Star Trek Discovery, is extremely political. Like, so much so that the Klingons are meant to be a representation of Trump and his voters.
I actually do enjoy the Star Trek franchise, I watch it with my mom. Were currently re-watching Enterprise, the last episode I saw was the one where Archer was being tried in a Klingon court for helping rebels. Im also a big fan of DS9 (its actually my favorite series of the franchise), which just so happened to have literally one white guy in the entire cast. And that was fine, cuz it was just treated like a normal thing, no one cared. It was totally natural and cool, and the characters were all likable.
Heard the new series has a black woman as the main character, and its being celebrated. The main character of DS9 was a black man, and the main character of Voyager was a woman. So its not like this is some new thing that the world is finally embracing after years of oppression or anything. No one cared about it : p After hearing all this, I dont think Im gonna watch Discovery : p Freaking people are ruining entertainment with their stupid politics.
