Yes the stickers are based on the mystery costumes In Super Mario Maker
And E-Gadd just so happens to be one of the mystery costumes for the game.
Though why they picked E-Gadd of all characters for the badge arcade is a bit odd.
Maybe it's a sign that Nintendo finally recognizes him and they plan on putting him in Mario Kart 9 or future Mario spin-offs.

Pretty cool Ashley did a crossover with a 3rd party company, this probably opens up more chances for Ashley, though I'm just guessing here.
