Well, my mom got me a Dreamcast, which has been my most wanted thing for some time now : p
And I convinced CMV to order me a game online so that Ill have a game to play on xmas, haha : p
So Im pretty excited. Will spend a good chunk of my tax return this spring on Dreamcast games I want.
Dunno what to expect besides that. I did want an acoustic bass guitar but doubt Ill get both of these things : p

yeah, the dreamcast is certain to keep you entertained for a long time, if not downright busy. (dat krazy taxi tho)

I just want Christmas to be good. Went through a lot of crap the past 30 days, but now things are starting to look somewhat better and now I'm nearly ready for Christmas. ^.^

Drowning myself with YouTube videos because I literally do nothing but make pictures on Gmod and fool people into thinking I made them with SFM and sometimes getting on Movie Battles 2 whenever people are playing. I'm Dutch, and I had Sinterklaas already, so I won't be getting anything any time soon.
But this is a great time anyway, as at our school we have a christmas musical every year and that's always really fun! I don't officially participate but most of the heads are friends of mine, and thus I doubt I'll have any trouble participating in the fun anyway, even if I haven't done too much stuff of particular usefulness.
What am I doing with my life! It's 2:40 AM and we're watching Attack of the Clones and half the people are bored and sleeping. HELP!
After watching the forums for some time, I've noticed that pretty much threads are starting to become entirely useless due to the shoutbox. I remember before I became a member that Wario Forums was a place to discuss about the Wario games we've played, or the things he appears in, and that we would discuss these things on threads we've created. Now that the shoutbox has been here for quite some time, threads are now barely getting used and most people would just be on the shoutbox all day and say whatever they want. Pretty much some threads have became utterly useless like social, random post of goofiness, Wario discussion to a certain point, and the questionable role play thread. The forum pretty much became a place where most people just gets on and instantly use the shoutbox and start blabbering about things that pretty much become forgotten in the next 15 minutes. Really do people even look at these threads anymore? Might as well call this the Shoutbox Forums because that's the only thing that gets used here nowadays.
Barely anyone is gonna read this anyways so this was pretty much a waste of time to type. Nonetheless the people who actually read this know how I think and is actually a pretty huge reason as to why I'm going to take a break from this forum sooner or later.

At least I'm not the only one who prefers threads. I rarely use the shoutbox anyway. But I didn't post much in the social thread either.
Well all I'm getting at is that pretty much there are less threads being made or used ever since the shoutbox. Pretty much barely anyone ever uses or even reads these things now, and I'm refusing to ever switch over to the shoutbox just to communicate with people. Like everytime I dare to look at the shoutbox, it's either roleplay, an argument about some really stupid thing because someone decide to do or say something, or your general posting of the quality of Reddit and Tumblr. It made few people not even look through the forum nowadays and just start posting idiotic things that won't even be seen 20 messages later. I'm serious, when was the last time some of these people ever went to a page that wasn't the shoutbox or the home page? It really isn't forum like and it removes the point of having threads if new people are gonna come in and see this shoutbox for them to use, not ever using a thread and turn this forum into a place to just posting moronic things or just trying to be the funnyman on the front page.

The shoutbox has certainly decreased activity in threads, but you're exaggerating. Some things still happen in forum topics and I still check the forum each time. First thing I do is check alerts, then new posts/topics, then profile posts, and then the shoutbox when there's nothing else to do. Just because you don't like what happens in the shoutbox doesn't mean you have to diss it.
It should also be mentioned that the lack of Wario news from Nintendo over the past few years didn't help. Most Wario discussion has been done repeatedly.

Ive always said, forums > real time chat. Im like 99% sure Ive said that twice on this forum, actually : p
Im not always free to hang on a chat site, and forums are better for feeling like a part of the group. If you werent there when something was posted, it will still be there when you return. Its more fun and easier to take part of. I dont hate real time chats or anything, but I definitely prefer forums.
The site should divide itself into two groups, people who use the shout box and people who post on the forum.
Then we can start a rivalry and fight among each other, haha. Thats always a good thing : p
