When it comes to the new artstyle, I'm actually...mixed on it. Ironically, I have no issue with Kat & Ana's new looks, but Wario, I'm iffy at best on, Ashley...not really a fan of the redesign, and what happened to 9-volt?
And I say this as someone who actually really liked Game & Wario's style. Still, it could be worse; at least the characters are still recognizeable, even if they look weirder.
It's certainly better in the style department than say, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. A million times better than something like Bomberman Act Zero too.
Im not goona talk a lot about redisigns (First time I saw them I thought they are the same as in G&W. Why? No idea.) and I kinda understand how can it harm the game. (Ahem, ahem, Crash Titans n Mutants, and G&W maybe, Ahem), But there's so much discussion just about how bad they are. Well they kinda look a bit off, but remember: Graphics are not that important comparing to Gameplay and Story.
That's because we don't know much about the gameplay yet. We know that there will be 3 different control methods, but we don't know HOW they will be implemented. So all we could do is speculate. (I already touched on that in my first post.)
But when it comes to the aesthetics we CAN discuss a lot because we can see it right away.
We also can't talk about the microgame selection, since we only know about a few of them, and we can't talk about bonus content either.
We don't know if there's multiplayer, we don't know if there are bonus minigames or souvenirs or... what any of the stories will be...
So all we can do is make wishlists. :V
So... here I go.
I want Pyoro, Pyoro 2, Pyoro R and Pyoro T, all remade! Pyoro S wouldn't really work, sadly.
Maybe even a new Pyoro? (But unlike the one in Game & Wario it should actually have music! )
I want records to come back.
And I want them to be a ton of updated versions of old songs. Drifting Away, Four Seasons, Crygor's Bathroom Jam, and a ton of the other unique songs.
As for microgames, I want these to return:
This one just because it contains a bit of Medamayaki.

I'm not sure about these. I haven't played the game in a while.
I've been looking through the 9/18-Volt games though, but there aren't a lot of games that would fit the new control schemes.
These ones could work with tilt controls:
This one could just be a button mashing game:
Not sure about this one... maybe you could tap the screen where you want him to shoot?
This one could just be a button press:
These are the ones that stuck in my mind the most, unless I'm forgetting one.'
I didn't include the Wario Land themed one from smooth moves since I couldn't think of a good way to conrol that without changing it too much.
I also didn't pick any DIY ones because I don't even know if they would remake those.
It's certainly better in the style department than say, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. A million times better than something like Bomberman Act Zero too.
Woah!
A new Wario game! I hadn't ever expected that!
And it makes me happy to read the comments, as it's apparent that many people still want Wario games, and many people are still waiting for a new Wario Land.
Maybe. In the game you have to first lift it up and then throw it. Maybe tilting left could raise Wario's arm and then quickly tilting right throws? Let's hope they put that much thought into it.
By the way, normally I would say that this game would be perfect for DLC... but I also said that about RH Megamix and you know how that turned out. :/
Wait a minute... I knew that. Why did I put that in...?
Oh, I remember now, I forgot to mention something.
Some of these microgames I love simply because of the sound effects they use. Like in that "Don't trip" one.
I just love the voice clip of the woman. It's so weird. I always hear "Richie-UUHHHRRG!" and the guy responds "Dolly!".
So my headcanon is they are called Richie and Dolly.
...or maybe she's saying "Richard", but it comes out as "Richuuuurrrrd!" Or something else entirely. Who knows.
Which is why I'm disappointed that they just used some other voice clip that sounds pretty forgetable.
Another sound I really loved was the HOOYAAAAA~A~A~A~a~a~ahhhh~ when you lift the weight in "Lift and Shout".
But the new version they have doesn't sound nearly as great.
I made a comparison down below.
The sit-up and lighthouse microgames from twisted also have great "YYEEUUUUHHHHH" sounds that I FUCKING LOVE for some reason. I really hope if they put them in, they don't butcher the sounds.
I also love the "music" of the sit-up microgame. Heh hoo-hoo hoo heh heh hoo Hoo heh-heh-heh hoo heh-heh hoo
Let's hope they still have a lot of these sfx uncompressed somewhere in their archives........... and that they actually use them. >3<
But I think it's actually a redesign of this game:
It features the same music, if you listen carefully, and it has the same premise. At least for level 1. In levels 2 and 3 of the SM version you have to pull other things.
In the WWG version it looks like you have to pluck 3 hairs instead of 1. Maybe they did that since it's easier to pluck them with a touch pen than by using the wiimote.
I'm curious what form Wario is going to take for the final stage this time, I'm always up for Wario Man, but I'd also love if they went the Smooth Moves/Tiny Wario route and brought a form from the platformers back.
Yes the sound design is amazing in the early WarioWare games. Probably because it's done by the same people who were involved in Wario Land 4. Another game where the sound effects were outstanding.
Actually the Mona Pizza song was sung by Sal Out and not Mona, you can even hear Mona's voice clips overlap with the song during the stage and they sound different in tone from the vocals.
Speaking of which, it makes me wonder who the english singer of that song was.
Then again, they also had other characters singing Ashley's theme and Mike's theme in WarioWare Touched during Mona's story, so eh... hard to tell what's canon there,
