Can we all agree that Wario & Donkey Kong are both really strong
Both have their strengths and weakness, that you can't really compare them.
It's like comparing apples to bananas, both are really good, but they're so different from each other in terms of how strong they are,
it's hard to gauge their true strength against each other. (It doesn't help that like a lot of things in Mario, their overall strength tends to change depending on the game and role they play.)
And also Mario has beaten both characters in the past, so bringing Mario into the mix is not exactly fair in my opinion.

You really can't compare characters in the Marioverse that way, due to how much their powers tend to flactuate between games, Wario has been straight up immortal in two of his games, yet that got dropped quickly and DK went from being easily kidnapped three games in a row (a really shitty era for his character) to being able to punch the moon down to earth.

So really, how strong or capable a character is always changes to how any particular game needs it, so you really can't make a definete statement on who's stronger.

That unless we can get a canonical fight between them, it's hard to gauge their true strength against each other. (It doesn't help that like lot of things in Mario, their overall strength tends to change between games.)

Absolutely. However, Mario only wins because Nintendo would never allow an actual plot where Wario or DK beat him.

I'm sure this may have been brought up, but Wario has lifted up things with much more weight than DK, like that one huge dinosaur boss in Wario World, or the Shake King. Hell, with the shake king he didn't even like use momentum or stuff, he just picked him up, and shook him like a ragdoll.

Wario isn't as dumb as he looks, he's clever in how to knock out/incapacitate his enemies, no matter how strong they are. Rudy should have been able to crush Wario with his sheer size, but Wario was smart and utilized his strength in a clever way to take out his enemy.

DK, well he's strong, but in a sense, he could be compared to a Wario boss, they're brute force, but they can be outsmarted, which well get the tar beaten out of them.

I put my bet down on Wario, he's got strength, and maybe not as much as DK depending on what you call canon, but he also has strategy, which DK doesn't have as much.

Okay, I hear this a lot, but the impression I always got from that part is it's kinda like, a comedic situation.

It's really hard to actually gauge wario and DK's strength, because they both star in cartoony games where actual possibilities are kinda just ignored.

This argument is just kinda hard to do.

Mario's greatest super power is luck. He takes on foes WAY stronger than he is and wins. I think that's the point with Mario. Despite the odds, he still wins. Y'know like an underdog. We always root for the guy who seems less powerful than the other.

Anyway this topic is not about "Who would win a fight?" but "Who has more physical strength?" It seems a lot of people miss that point.
