  • I wanted to upload some photos from my personal documents for a post, but everytime I tried, I got a message that said
¨Something went wrong. Please try again or contact the andministrator.¨ Only that. No mention about the possible too large size or insufficient quality. It's kinda annoying. Can you, or anyone else please help?

Hmm, that's strange. I'll have to look into it.

What are the photos anyway? Got a third party host you could temporarily upload them to?

Thanks. The photos are just some pics I made of scribbled notebook pages I recently found by cleaning up my desk.I thought they would make a pretty good example of how my handwriting has evolved over the last few years. Don't know where to dump them online, honestly. I only have Google Drive, and that doesn't seem to function either.
Hmm, seems like the weird line break bug may be gone.

Nope, guess not. But it's rarer anyway.

Geez is this new system buggy. The names are all glowing yellow! ¡Extraño!

Apparently so, though the editor is a bit funky...

Feels it sometimes adds a line break immediately when I start typing.
Well, I know I'm a bit obsessed with the Mario series. Someone got asked what kind of bird a condor is on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and my first thought was what that enemy in Shifting Sand Land looked like.
Hmm, part of me wonders whether we're gonna see a bit of a backlash/legal issues from all the mods/hacks/fan projects using Patreon for development funding.

We can deal with that when we actually get a takedown request, otherwise I wouldn't sweat it. This forum and these projects are small and under the radar for now.

Nah, not talking about this site. More the people who seem to be selling fan projects/fan project development as their day job.

Oh, that's a little trickier for me imo since I don't like the sound of people profiting off of other's assets to begin with. I'm fine with fan projects that are non-profit since it's a fun hobby, but making money off of someone else's characters is kinda scummy. I mean if you want to make living making games then do something unique; bring something new to market. No need to mooch off of Nintendo/bethesda/etc.'s characters and popularity if it's good.
God I hate it when people can delete content/accounts years after setting them up. So many great pictures, songs, posts, etc gone because of that.

There's a great series of Wario Land 4 remixes on Soundcloud I posted links to ages ago, and now it's almost impossible to find them cause of this.

I can give you 5$ if you dress up as wario dance around on with some tassels clipped on your nipples and post it here.
Honestly, I don't enjoy running communities. Prefer coding and hosting them, and marketing them to others. May just give moderator/admin duties to others instead.

Then please do, assign someone to do it, but someone trustworthy you can give all power to and is easily accessible.

You don't have to give up your moderation duties, just give them to people you can trust so they can run the site with you.
When I think about it, BuzzFeed suck at branding about as badly as Nintendo do. Having a mire of low quality crap (BuzzFeed) share the same brand as their journalistic efforts (BuzzFeed News) is plain idiotic.
On a related story note, it's interesting how many potentially massive gaming news stories go unreported. Hell, quite a lot of the most successful ones on Gaming Reinvented completely flew under the radar of most 'major' gaming news sites till I wrote about them.

I liked it when I posted on the mariowiki twitter about the BIS remake's poor sales and then coincidentally a bunch of Nintendo fansites wrote about it

Yeah, the gaming media (and honestly, media as a whole) will pretty much copy every news story put out, and jump on the bandwagon the minute something that may potentially be newsworthy comes out. That's actually how I promote my own stories to be honest, give a bunch of tip offs to bigger sites about the news, then watch a flood of others write their own stories on said news with whatever site as the source.

Now that's an "industry insider" moment right there.
God I hate trying to record video game glitches sometimes. Currently trying to record a somewhat finicky trick in Zelda Breath of the Wild, and having pretty bad luck with it. Still, when I do nail this and get a good video, this could be a massive news story.
Apparently some people think Super Mario Land is 'obscure' now. Guys, it may amaze you to know this, but it sold about 20 million copies, was a pack in with the Game Boy in many places and launched the system alongside Tetris. It's not exactly an unknown game.

I guess what they mean to say is it's different. I think it's one of the most unique Mario games ever!
Huh, this is interesting. Apparently the DSi Action Replay sometimes loads the entirety of Game & Watch collection rather than the cheats menu, since Datel's method to cheat the system DRM stuck the entire game in the files: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0lGxj7W5rU

So apparently, Datel sold a pirated copy of one of Nintendo's games at one point. Which is amusing, given another game they sold had a full Metroid Fusion ROM as a way to test out the emulator (also left in by mistake).
God, can you imagine the memes we'll get when Pokemon GO adds generation 7 Pokemon, and people are encountering Gumshoos near the White House?
