i wonder if a bounty hunter ever used it to "accidentally" find a gang hideout or a guy on the loose? (gotta catch em all! {please make this a TV series})
Well it did a much better job at getting people outside and active than Mrs Obama.I'm still waiting to see if Pokemon Go has any actual benefits since this whole "walking and getting outside" thing still just seems like an excuse for people to not get off their phones.

Only positive comments about Pokemon Go allowed.
now how do we get the FPS crowd off their rump?My issue with people complaining about Pokemon Go is always when it pertains to people actually walking around. Like, 47 Million people were logged in worldwide recently. Assuming most of those people were moving, this means so many people were out of their rooms that it could only be beneficial. Like yeah a lot of them aren't paying attention to anything but their phones, but a lot are also moving in groups, or are talking to others. "They won't get off their phones still" isn't a valid complaint to me, because it's better than what we had before.
We can talk all day about the server issues, the lack of a good battle system, etc. But overall, it just annoys me when people complain about something that could make so many more people active. It's important to note that it is still a good thing, even if we're still not as close to getting people to detach from their phones.
political stuff aside, a better idea would be a local multiplayer camera game. or something.I'd say give them real guns, but you know that wouldn't be good.
Oh my post wasn't directed at you it was directed at a certain someone else hahah. Anyway, I do see the validity of your statements but one of my biggest concerns is that this is really looking to be a fad due to the very limited novelty of the game. Once the hysteria dies down what's after that for a lot of these people? My issue with people complaining about Pokemon Go is always when it pertains to people actually walking around. is it me or does it seem like mobile games are taking over portable consoles?Oh my post wasn't directed at you it was directed at a certain someone else hahah. And also yeah if you're not really aware most mobile games aren't directed towards gamers which is why they're lacking in story and tend to have very basic gameplay and for the most part are designed to be endless.

I'm just saying I think it's too optimistic to think that this game will really have an impact on a large majority of people. Pokemon Go is an extrinsic thing and those kinds of motivations are limited and with those sorts of things, a step in the right direction may very well just be nothing more than that and people may very easily revert to the way they were previously.@Magma - That is valid, but I firmly think that at least there will be a fair amount of people who will stick around, and at least be like "Hey this walking thing's pretty cool! I'll keep with it!"
Also honestly I didn't have a phone for most of my life, so I've never really been into mobile stuff. I barely even turn on my phone. (I do get that the phone market is generally pointed towards casual gamers tho.)
Honestly the portable console gaming market and the mobile gaming market are almost entirely different. The portable console gaming market is essentially an extension of the home console gaming market and dedicated to full fledged video games. The mobile phone gaming market is targeted towards non-gamers in large quantities by offering easy to play simple games that are pretty much just simple time burners.is it me or does it seem like mobile games are taking over portable consoles?
